    Description
    Now More pages than ever!
Steering layout, suspension setup and geometry, wheel alignment specifications and other important tips to make your straight axle car handle right are now included.
Do you have a lot of questions about how to set up the springs or steering on a straight axle car?  I have driven my nose high 1937 Chevrolet coupe at excess of 130 mph and have had no handling problems at all.  The car drives straight and predictably at speed because the installation considers important steering geometry principles.  Properly installed and set up a straight axle car can be a joy to drive. But if you do not understand the basics of steering and suspension the opposite can be true. Learn why the length of the steering arm matters. Learn the answers to the following questions and more with these plans.  Do the steering arms go in front or behind the axle? Why are some steering boxes mounted close to the driver while others are much further forward?  Do I use mono or multi leaf springs? Can I use a Ford tie rod end on a Chevrolet steering box? Do I need a panhard bar?  Do it once, do it right with these plans.
    5000 + HAPPY CUSTOMERS!
Why waste your time looking for a rusty old I beam at the swap meets or pay big bucks to some rod shop to custom build you an axle when you can make your own tube straight axle for a fraction of the cost? Materials are inexpensive and readily available! You can do it yourself with these plans!
    All drawings are of
    professional quality
developed using the latest in CAD (computer aided design) software.       The drawings are printed on 11 x 17” sheets to make them clear and easy to read. The plans have been tested by actually building an axle to insure that your project will be a success and that you will be proud of the results. Now is your chance to convert your Willys , Chevy or Ford coupe to a true straight axle and experience the feeling of nostalgia drag racing every time you pull onto the road and turn heads.
The plans are for the most part universal in nature and as such will work fine on most any car or truck. The design of the axle it self was done specifically for a 37-39 Chevrolet but the only possible change required for other applications would be to alter the track width which of course only requires a change in one dimension. The axle was specifically designed to use 48-54 Chevrolet or 54-62 Corvette spindles but other spindles such as early Ford or Econline can be easily adapted.
    The drawing package includes:
Six (6) big 11x17” pages showing you how make all parts, assemble them and then install the finished product successfully on your car. In addition to the drawings listed below you also will receive a Bill of materials and Full installation instructions
