#101 - VINTAGE RAND MCNALLY & CO. WORLD PORTRAIT GLOBE - RAISED "MOUNTAINS"

Description

Vintage Rand McNally "World Portrait" Globe with gold tone pedestal stand for tabletop or shelf. No date marked on it, but it still shows Burma (rather than Myanmar), so the would date it before 1989. There are raised ridges wherever there is a mountain range. The base was cracked on the top and has been repaired and repainted.
About 11" - 12" diameter, has different numbered rings for locating latitudes and longitudes. Some staining on the rings, and some of the numbers have rubbed off. Globe has a few very small dinks and spots, but good overall. Time zone disc on top is intact. Made in USA.
