1915 ORIGINAL Baby Doll Buggy Carriage KUMFY-KAB La Porte INDIANA-MUSEUM QUALITY

$ 89.73

Availability: 70 in stock
  • Condition: A museum-quality item made by the Kumfy Cab Company which was organized in 1915 in La Porte. The address was 305 Detroit Street, according to my research. I have a photo of ladies from that time making these buggies in a factory setting. This doll buggy can be partially disassembled for shipping if desired (see description). Buyer must provide own shipping/insurance AND WE WILL PROVIDE PACKING. If there is a museum in La Porte, Indiana this buggy would be a nice donation to that museum.

    Description

    DESCRIPTION: Antique early 1900s Wood Wicker Baby Doll Buggy Carriage made by the  KUMFY-KAB COMPANY of La Porte, Indiana in all original condition.
    This wonderful buggy has great features. It is the nicest buggy and best condition of its size that I have seen for sale. It is made of wood and wicker with a steel frame, a turned wood push handle, hard rubber wheels, movable hood and reclining position. All the wicker is intact. It is truly a museum quality item.
    It measures 26.5" tall, 13”  wide and 21” long, not including the handle, which would make it 32” long.
    It is sturdy and moves nicely. The wicker is in excellent condition with no missing pieces.
    Included is a more modern mattress/pad. Doll not included.
    Comes from a smoke free environment
    Buyer to pay within 2 days unless prior arrangements have been made.
    Please check out our 5 star packing and shipping feedback. Seller would be willing to ready item for shipping and taken to a local shipping facility with Buyer-initiated shipping option if buyer cannot pick up.
    We are willing to disassemble the buggy to cut down on shipping expense if that is desired. It can be disassembled by loosening 6 screws (4 for the handle and 2 for the hood). Please message me if you need more details.
    If you have questions, please message or if additional photos are needed.
