Description

CHOICE OF ONE OF FIVE. This is a 1932 BROCHURE put out by the
CONTINENTAL OIL COMPANY
of Ponca City, Oklahoma. It was distributed by the CONOCO TRAVEL BUREAU of Denver, Colorado. The Brochure contains a transcript of "one of the radio talks of Carveth Wells, noted explorer and adventurer, as broadcast under the auspices of the Continental Oil Company." These radio programs were 30 minutes long during which Wells "uses about twenty minutes, devoting fifteen minutes to a descriptive talk on some state or locality in America." The states to chooe from are:
IOWA, MINNESOTA, NEW MEXICO, UTAH, or VIRGINIA
. I presume the other 10 minutes were devoted to advertisements for Conoco's oil and gas products. The brochures are 3 3/8" wide and 8 1/2" high (except for Utah which is 3 7/8" wide and 8 7/8" high) and contains 8 pages counting the front and rear covers. The photos show the front cover and rear cover of the 5 available brocures - ALTHOUGH PICTURED - COLORADO HAS BEEN SOLD. The rear cover has a nice Real Photo of the explorer - CARVETH WELLS - except for Virginia. The inside has the complete dialog of the program - except for the advertisements. This item is in near MINT condition - see my photos for the exact condition. Please contact me with any questions. Good Bidding and Good Luck.
NOTE: YOU ARE BIDDING ON ONLY ONE BROCHURE - YOUR CHOICE
