1938 Conoco Travel Club Touraid with Maps, Guides and Mail Forwarding Stamps

Description

This is a cool old travel aide that was specially prepared for a member of the Conoco Travel club named Ernest W. Rodrick who was taking a trip from Pueblo Colorado to Oklahoma City and then to Boise Idaho by way of Colorado and Wyoming.
The trip was all mapped out for him complete with sights to see and Conoco Stations for him to buy his fuel at along the way. Included was a package of mail forwarding stamps so he could collect his mail when he got to his destination.
There are state maps of each state he was traveling through and photos of tourist attractions. It is a paperback booklet bound with what appears to be copper rings that have oxidized and stained the paper, there appears to be slight water or humidity staining as well and the corners of the pages are a little tattered but it is in pretty good shape for the age and the stamps are still in the original cellophane which is discolored from age.
This is a cool look back in time at how traveling was done back in the the 1930s before there were major interstate highways and huge travel centers at every exit ramp.
