Handsome large-format fold-out Conoco highway map of Texas, printed more than 46 years ago.
This map opens to 27" x 31" and has great detail on old road alignments, including U.S. Route 66, with cartography by H.M. Gousha. There are inset plans of Fort Worth, Dallas, Galveston, Houston, and San Antonio — along with a description of HemisFair 1968.
The map was distributed by the Continental Oil Company in 1968 and is dated in the legend. The code number in the lower margin is 10-PP. Little triangles locate Conoco gas stations on the major highways.
Condition:
This map is in very good, lightly used condition, bright and clean, with tiny breaks on a couple of fold corners and
