Handsome fold-out Conoco road map of the United States, printed more than 39 years ago.
This map opens to 18" x 30-1/2" and has a U.S. highway map on one side, with cartography by H.M. Gousha. The code number in the lower margin is 8-XX.
On the other side there's a map of the nation's topography as it appeared in 1776, with a key to forts, settlements, and historical landmarks. This map is copyrighted by Jeppeson & Company.
The map was distributed by the Continental Oil Company in 1976 and is dated in the legend. The artwork on the front shows colonial flag bearers crossing the Old North Bridge in Concord, Massachusetts.
