This buggy would make a terrific Christmas present!  What a surprise to see this vintage, antique buggy under the tree on Christmas morning!
Your little one will have eyes as big as saucers on Christmas when they see this darling pram for their favorite doll!!
Don't miss this opportunity!  The holidays are upon us!  Santa Claus is coming to town!!  :)
You’re bidding on a baby doll carriage. This is a full size doll carriage for a young child – this is
    NOT
    a table-top toy.
This doll carriage was at an estate sale of an elderly woman who had lost her husband some year or two ago.  So…I’m thinking this may be an authentic doll carriage from ???  1800s? – not sure of a decade…or even a century – but this buggy has wooden wheels with a metal band around the wood.
So…Even though I cannot date this item by signage on the buggy or manufacturer label, I’m guessing (??) this darling doll stroller has been around for a while?  Take a look at the pics and see what you think.
This carriage would be great for room décor, as a movie or photography studio prop, in a doll collection display, or – it would make a darling addition to any venue of your choosing!
I was unable to talk to the elderly lady of the estate, so do not have a history of this baby doll carriage.  An estate company managed the estate sale without her presence.  I cannot find a label on the buggy, so cannot identify the manufacturer.

This buggy has a folding shade and the bonnet can be used as a face shade or it can be folded back to allow a view of the buggy passenger.
One article online that was speaking to a buggy that looked similar to this one said “
THE HOOD AND INSIDE SEAT IS BELIEVED TO BE PEROXOLIN COATED CLOTH (BEFORE VINYL)
    ”.
I don’t know.  The shade/hood is a black material that appears as perhaps the above mentioned clothe or
a treated canvas of some form or fashion that was used when buggies like this were made.  It appears to be in good condition without holes or tears that I could see.
The handle is medium color – a warm brown – and is a curved, scrolled, wooden piece about 11 ¼ “ across.  It stands approx. 21½ “ from the floor.
The wheels are bent wood covered by metal and are approx. 14 ¼” in diameter.  There are 10 spokes on each wheel that are made of metal - set into a medium wood colored, decorative wooden hub with a metal rod inside and that stretches across to the opposite hub.  The metal spokes are approx. 6”each in length.  All spokes are present and none appear broken.
The controls on the bonnet are metal with a wooden decorative scrolled handle on each side for lowering the hood.  Each handle is approx. 2 ¼ inches long.
There are two – 2½” diameter metal wheels – ½” wide -  on metal extensions below the pram’s bonnet to help youngsters keep the buggy balanced and prevent the stroller from tipping forward.  These wheels have 6 spokes and appear to be each - a one piece molded unit.
The 2 metal projections - with a curved end - below the buggy’s handle appear to be also used to help little ones keep the buggy upright and protect the pram from tipping backward.
The actual carriage bed of the pram appears to be made in a reed/rattan style and is lined with what appears to be a black treated canvas (or the
    PEROXOLIN COATED CLOTH
?? as mentioned above)  - where the doll’s upper body would sit or recline.
The lower part of the bed carriage is a “step-down” where the doll’s legs would have dropped down as from a chair seat.  A small wooden platform exists at the foot end of the doll carriage on which the doll’s feet would have rested.
The frame-work underneath the carriage is metal and curves around in a letter “c” shape underneath the wicker/rattan bed frame.  The “c” shape curved metal is approx. 6” across in diameter.
I found a comment online that said this style carriage was made via several manufacturers around 1870 and the manufacturers were then taking out patents on the toy and making fashionable reed and rattan styles.
This buggy was very dusty and I tried to wipe it down.  But, there is still dust in the crevices - and, as I did not wish to put excessive pressure on the stroller - I will let the purchaser do that.
My home is a pet-free home.  But...I also wiped off what appeared to be kitty hair.  I'm guessing the elderly lady had a cat that, perhaps, found this item in storage and used it as a cradle?  Not sure, but, I'm guessing there may still be kitten hair on this item when you receive it. Again, I did not want to vacuum with too much suction.
I can’t authenticate what appears to be a vintage antique child’s doll carriage.  I only know it came from an estate sale that was on the outskirts of Spokane, WA.  As I couldn’t find a label or manufacturer sticker attached to this buggy, you will have to be the judge.
    Check out the pics!
I believe you will fall in love with this child’s pram just am I did.
    It is truly adorable!
These don’t come along too often and this could be passed down through your family as an airloom.  What a treasure! What a great look into the past!  Priceless!
Thanks for viewing this enchanting doll carriage.
It will make an adorable addition to any venue.
I am in hopes that this darling vintage doll pram will go to a good home that will appreciate and display its charm and character.
    Email me with any questions.
I have tried to give as much information as I have knowledge regarding.
Please check out the pics as part of the description to complete this ad.
I have noticed that most sellers are only willing to have antique buggies "picked up" versus being willing to mail them.  I can understand this stance.  I sold one previously that was smaller and lighter - and it was 0 to ship it safely.  UPS did not even have a big enough box - I had to look elsewhere.
I am willing to mail this buggy, but...
I'm guessing from what I have learned,
it will be expensive and shipping is thus listed to cover the buggy's need for wrapping, packing, protective padding, & shipping across the continental U.S. to get this adorable baby doll carriage to you safely.
    Thanks for viewing!
