LOCAL PICK UP ONLY (LOWELL INDIANA)
Antique/Victorian Reproduction 1900's Style Baby Doll Buggy/Carriage includes doll.
Dimensions: 24" Height x 19" Length
This Baby Doll Buggy mimics the baby buggies from the early 1900's.
NOT a real antique although it may still be vintage.
This
collectible baby carriage is best displayed with a beautiful doll.
Bonus: Includes adult lady cloth body doll in beige dress with long scarf and attached hat. Painted ceramic head. Ceramic hands but no legs below the knees. Meant to just sit and look pretty. Dress needs some stitching and spot cleaning on the underslip (doesn't show unless you lift up the skirts)
The carriage Frame is made of an unknown rustic reddish stained wood.
Fully intact detailed scroll work made of Wicker Rattan.
Spindle Handle connected to wrought Iron/Metal.
Round headed screws hold the metal frame to the body.
1/2" metal tacks/nails used to attach the black fabric lining to the wood.
Hardware is all intact. No broken parts.
All 4 Wheels turn without issue
The black fabric bonnet is intact and fully attached. It can be lowered or raised.
I have not forced the bonnet to full raised position.
The fabric seems coated and stiff. Perhaps with varnish or some water repellent typical for the time frame when built.
Not machine produced, Hand tacked and assembled.
Needs to be fully wiped down and dusted as it has been in storage for years.
Fully functional as it is, but the wicker can be repainted and the buggy re-stained or painted to make it much prettier.
