Brass Repoussé Salzburg Fire Screen

This firescreen is stunning! It has a fully embossed solid brass front with solid wood backing. It is still quite shiny gold, but does have some natural patina, especially in the deeper areas.
Every inch of this piece is ornately decorated except the feet.
It features a charming music parlor scene, including a monkey near the top! It was made in Salzburg, Austria which is the birthplace of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and is well known as a center of culture and music. When you look at this piece, it is easy to imagine the music playing in the parlor. This would be a fantastic addition to any fireplace, and help set off the focal point of the room with classy sophistication!
