Offered for bid is a collection of fourteen (14) Dimestore toy soldiers in a medical or hospital unit. The figures have been well “played-with” over the many years.
Some are original, and some have been repainted. Some show paint loss, and may have a broken base.
Manufactured by Grey Iron, Barclay and Manoil.
These soldiers are identified in the Richard O’Brien Toy Soldier Identification and Pricing Guide, using O’Brien’s numbers, as well as the manufacturer’s numbers. (There may be some mistakes, but I believe they are correct!)
The collection includes a tent, cot, stretcher, and an “Uncle Sam” sign.
The collection of figures includes the following:

Aviator/Pilot Barclay # 741, (B-80). Has been repainted
2.
Soldier, wounded, on crutches Barclay #775 (B-119). Has been repainted.
3.
Nurse with hands on hips, Barclay #774 (B-83).
4.
Nurse, kneeling Barclay #767 (B-82).
5.
Doctor, brown uniform, Barclay #746 (B-81a).
6.
Wounded soldier, arm in sling Barclay #762, (B-85). Has been repainted, added head bandage.
7.
Surgeon with stethoscope, Barclay #760 (B-103).
8.
Red Cross Doctor, Grey Iron #20, (G-94). Corner of base is broken.
9.
Red Cross Nurse, Grey Iron #23 (G-99).
10.
Soldier in a stretcher Grey Iron #22 (G-96).
11.
Doctor in white coat Manoil #29, (M-34)
12.
Nurse in white Manoil #21 (M-36) Repainted.
13.
Nurse in white Manoil #21 (M-36) original, not repainted.
14.
Soldier, Wounded, Walking, arm in sling, Manoil #29 (M-52), repainted.
