    --Made by my father during WW11
    --I can't say if the silver is sterling except that Dad probably got the silver from sterling silver spoons and melted them down
    --There appears to be some imperfections either in or on the eagle design
    --It appears that the stone was set with something with iron in it as it looks rusted
