George F Cram Classic 12" Globe on Atlas Shoulders Mounted on Wood Stand. Makes for great decor.
Includes the 2000 Hammond Concise World Atlas which slides in the wood stand.
The item is in great shape for it's age. The nice wood stand has a 3 little dents in the front as shown in the pictures and a thin black mark that feels like it is a raised dribble of something also shown in the pictures.
The globe is the classic globe. Defects are hard to find with the raised mountain ranges etc. The worst one is shown in the last picture. They could be easily fixed, I would assume that this is typical for the age. However they are not obvious when displayed. Feel free to ask for more pictures.
The Atlas has a small red smudge as shown in the pictures. Other than that the book is in like new shape.
The height is about 16 1/2", the width is 15 1/8" and the depth of the base is 10 3/8". The globe dia is 12" ( a little wider that the base)
The globe sets in a felt liner in the Atlas Greek god holder and is tilt
able
to whatever degree you wish.
I bought this for myself, just had to have it, then found out that I do not have a good place to display it.
