My apologies to all the bidders on my first attempt to sell this. It was pointed out to me, the little dark line shield side, under bolster, right hand side. It looks like a crack, but running my fingernail across, does not catch an edge, it is smooth and flush with handle. It may have been the reason it did not pass the quality test.

This is a "S", 1 0f 1. The S is stamped into the tang of the small blade. The S
designation means this knife did not pass GEC's quality control. It is completely functional, great snap, no wobble, blades centered. It is a cosmetic reason, and usually not noticeable. In this case I believe the problem was the bone on the shield side did not meet their standards. There are no cracks, or chips, fit and finish are as good as of the other knives in this run. So what we end up with is a 1 of 1, as all the other knives in this run have a number, this is the only one that does not.
