Medieval Knights Jousting Tournament Diorama 1:72 scale Lead- Incredible detail!

Years ago I use to collect interesting things in bottles, like ships, harbor scenes, and carved wooden figures. Collectors often called the latter "whimsies". Ever since I've been attracted to any well done miniature scenes or dioramas. This is one of the best I've owned, but have no idea how old it is. I've been an antique toy collector since 1964 and my guess is that these lead figures were purchased painted...if not the person who painted them was an incredible painter who must have used a "one-hair-brush"! Remember these figure are only 1/2" tall or less! That would make the scale 1:72. Looks to be complete. It reminds me of something one might have seen in the Forbes Toy Boat and Toy Soldier Museum in NY City when it was open. One thing for sure you will never see another one!
The case is plexiglass and is 9" X 7-1/4" X 6-1/2" tall.
If any collector out there has any idea of what company made these figures please let me know as that may help me date it.
