Description
Fess Parker as Daniel Boone, vintage dated 1964 MPC Playset (#3013)! One of the more desirable and harder to find playsets by MPC (Multiple Plastics Company, aka Multiple Toymakers). Close to complete set with several additional items not listed in PFPC’s parts list (PFPC, Plastic Figure & Playset Magazine, issue #28 from December, 1993 has a write up on this set with a parts list from a nearly complete set – we are including this issue with this set!). MPC didn’t always have the best quality control so it’s not unusual to find more or less in a set.Includes instruction sheet, front gate with Fort Boone label, 2 doors and gate lock bar. 2 ‘U’ shaped fort walls and 7 straight wall pieces. 2 3-piece cannons with springs. Missing 10 cannon balls and 8 of 10 cannon shells.
Has the 2 saddles, 5 horses, 3 horse hitches and a hitching post. Has three wagons, including the complete stagecoach, all appear complete with an extra ‘Prairie Schooner’ top to one. Includes 5 or 6 more accessories than shown on the PFPC list but missing the Bowie Knife and a tomahawk. (3 coonskin caps, 4 pouches with straps, 7 belts, 2 belts with holsters, 3 powder horns with straps, 2 flintlock rifles, 2 flintlock pistols a kerchief…all loose, no actual sprues). Includes all the ringhand pioneers listed plus a few more (including the one rider and 3 seated for the wagons), Includes all 18 of the non-ringhand Indians. I believe these are original but poses vary from the PFPC list.
Has a 4-piece cabin and another 4-piece building (someone wrote HOTEL on it). Has three complete teepees with vinyl covers over plastic frames.
The original box measures about 23 ½ x 15 ¾ x 3 inches. Buyer pays shipping. Shipping costs are high nowadays and well beyond our control. On the blank back is a hand-written price of .35 (lol).
