    LIQUIDATING MY 30 YEAR COLLECTION OF ANTIQUE KENT MOORE TOOLS!
    This is Kent Moore J-23051 (cross references to Outboard Marine #315018), Pinion Gear to Bearing Housing Shim Gauge for 80 & 90 HP Evinrude & Johnson stern drive engines. The tool is in good overall condition with some minor cosmetic corrosion but undamaged.   The OEM says that ... "A close tolerance measurement must be maintained between the flat at the top of the e pinion gear and the shoulder on the bearing housing. This tool quickly determines the correct shim needed to maintain this tolerance. A properly shimmed housing, together with an accurately shimmed ball gear shaft, guarantees correct engagement of the gears.."
