Scottish Lead Toy Soldiers Lot of 12. Made by Reeves International Inc. Reeves was, for many years, the American distributor for Britains. Not content to merely pass along the plastic and metal goods then being produced in England, Reeves decided to try hand at production. Their choice of a production facility was as surprising for its time as it was prescient. They chose to manufacture their range of figures in China in the mid-80s, long before anyone else saw the potential of the mainland's manufacturing muscle. These figures are boldly sculpted and painted in high gloss colors. They were produced in extremely limited numbers. Production continued for a couple of years and then collapsed. Check the photos for condition and size. Lead soldiers were not produced after 1966. These are not suitable for children, but are beautifully painted, in excellent condition and highly collectible.
