    Description

Last Hurrah for Chivalry a.k.a. Hao xia a.k.a. Ho hap (1979) written & directed by John Woo.
In the 1990s when I was working for Sam Raimi I had the privilege of being John Woo's assistant during pre-production for the movie HARD TARGET. One weekend I went to a Science Fiction / Horror convention in Pasadena. One of the vendors there was selling movie posters that she had imported from Hong Kong. Some of which are currently listed here on eBay. It was from this vendor that I purchased this original poster for THE LAST HURRAH FOR CHIVALRY. A few days later I showed it to John and asked him to autograph it for me in both English and Chinese which he so kindly did. I then had the poster mounted onto heavy acid-free poster board. Several years later I then had it framed with wood and Plexiglass. Over the years the poster has been proudly hung on the walls of my home and on the walls of my various offices on the backlot of Universal studios, a couple different locations in the heart of Beverly Hills and also at Lionsgate Studios. It is with great sadness that I now have to let the poster go.
Printed in the lower left hand corner of the poster are the words: "Printed in Hong Kong By Wei Sang Printing Fty. Ltd."
Including the frame the poster measures approximately  21 X  31 inches.
Since I can't easily take it out of the frame I would estimate that the poster itself measures about 20 X 30 inches.
The poster was originally folded. The dry mounting process has lessened the creases from the folds but they are still quite apparent.
In between the time I had it dry mounted and several years later framed, the poster suffered some minor water damage at the bottom that you can see in the photos.
If you live in Los Angeles I would consider hand delivering it to you myself to save on the shipping costs.
Please take a look at all of the photos and do not hesitate to ask me any questions.
I will combine similar items to greatly reduce the shipping cost.
Please take a look at the many other similar auctions that I have currently listed and keep my seller page bookmarked since I will be listing a variety of hard to find collectibles from diverse sources in the near future. Several new and rare  items will be added over the next few days and weeks.   I also list other Cinema, Comics, Literature, Posters, Model Kits, Autographed pieces & Classic Toy related items.
