A magnificent and very decorative 1950s Vintage Desk Globe Lluis Duran Huix Sant Hilari d Sacalm Globe Wood Stand. The globe has a beautiful and colourful antique map. The globe is made of cardboard with a detailed map as the world was known in the 16th century. The structure of globe is in excellent condition and the colors are bright and vivid!! There are some loose or upturned edges where the paper has come up at bit.  Please see all photos.  The base is also in excellent vintage condition. It does however, make an awesome statement piece when displayed and due to its size it looks at home on a desk, shelf, just about anywhere you can place it. It is an instant conversation starter for sure.
This is one globe that should be in every collector's collection or would be a great way to begin a collection!!
The globe measures 19 cm // 7.5” in diameter but stands approximately 40 cm //15.7” high with the stand. Weight: 800 gr.
