This is an old Post WW2 West German Bundesgrenzschutz wool greatcoat. The Bundesgrenzschutz was formed in 1951 and protected the borders of Western Germany. In 2005, the name was changed to Bundespolizei. I believe this coat is from when the Bundesgrenzschutz first formed, so in the early 1950s. The wool is very thick. It comes in a green color, with the top portion of the collar being a different color. It has french cuff with 2 external patch pockets and 2 internal pockets. There is a tag inside one of the interior pockets. There is evidence of a patch on the left sleeve but has since been removed. There are 12 buttons on the front and 2 in the back. Measurements are approximately 20.5 inches armpit to armpit, 19 inch shoulders, 27 inch sleeves, 56 inches in total length
