    Description

**Ultra Rare** WW2 German Government Ministry of Imports and Customs, which is the equivalent of US and most other countries Port Authorities.
The Ministry was responsible for overseeing the regulation of imports and exports of sea faring vessels of trade, to port construction and maintenance to many other forms of port services and regulation enforcement.
This version cap is Ultra Rare as it’s service was very short lived. The cap was notorious for the oversized aluminum cap badges of which was the same design as the Eastern People’s Government insignia. Apparently the design of large aluminum insignia on softer bodied caps apparently did not go to well as the oversized insignia could and did break often as the insignia had very little give and was unforgiving when bent. The cap was also unpopular with personal for obvious reasons and so the cap was quickly fazed out and adopted the WW2 Kreigsmarine insignia instead.
The cap shows allot of aging along with the wreath leaving its imprint on the fading cap band. Numerous moth holes and cracks in bill, it is highly recommended that the buyer keep this cap displayed in a safe environment to where the insignia
    (WILL NOT GET BENT)
. Replacement of insignia will be very hard to impossible to replace. Cap is a very unique and interesting piece of history and should not be treated as a play toy. This obviously is a first come first serve sell and once it’s gone it’s gone. We have only seen 1 of these caps sold in a UK Auction house several years ago and that’s it. Most of these caps personal just replaced the insignia with the Kreigsmarine wreath and eagle insignia once the change in regulation took place, so to find one of these fully intact will be very difficult.
Cap comes completed with the metal eagle insignia.
Cap is a small size. Possibly 54 or 55
